Loadshedding!

So South Africa has power cuts. We knew that when we came. People moaned about them and complained about government incompetence blah blah blah.

However.

Now we have experienced a proper one! Loadshedding, when the power goes off and comes on intermittently through the day is slightly annoying but at least predictable. There’s an app.

But this time, there’s a fault as well. So power went off last night with loadshedding, and it hasn’t come on yet (and it’s 2.30pm). And it’s not likely to come on again today because someone needs to find out why the power has gone down. And then they need to decide what to do about it. And then they need to fix it. Which could take a while.
